DEATH OF MRS. BURNETT CALDWELL
Last Monday morning, February 14th, 1927, the death angels called at the home of Mr. Burnett Caldwell and took from his home his dearly beloved companion, Mrs. Caldwell was taken seriously ill last Saturday night and was taken to the hospital at Asheville, NC and early Monday morning she gently fell asleep. We are told Mrs. Caldwell suffered some severe pains. Mother's gone, her work on earth is over. She is now with loved ones who has gone on before. We can never have her dear company again on earth and a place is vacant in this home that can never be filled. But let us live so that when we are called from this world, we can see again this dear mother's face.
Mrs. Caldwell was a mother that was true to her home and her community and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her but we feel that our loss is Heaven's gain. She leaves to mourn her death, a husband, Burnett Caldwell, four children, Plato, Sarah, Reuben and Edward Caldwell, besides a host of friends. She was laid to rest in the Flats of Spring Creek cemetery, the funeral service being performed by Rev. P. T. McFee of Hot Springs, NC.
