Roy J. Garvin, 94, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2004 at Coliseum Hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, at Centerville Baptist Church. Visitation will be Monday, April 12 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the Centerville Baptist Church Building Fund, 108 Church Street, Centerville, GA 31028.
Mr. Garvin was born in Warner Robins. He was a member of Centerville Baptist Church and attended the Senior Men's Sunday School Class.
Mr. Garvin served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was retired from RAFB where he worked as a warehouseman. His parents, Joseph Emmitt Garvin and Viola Tucker Garvin, and eight siblings preceded him in death.
Survivors include wife, Elizabeth Bassett Garvin, Centerville; daughter, Linda Garvin Garrett (Lee), Centerville; and granddaughter, Erin G. Ivanov (Danil), Macon.
