He was born and reared in Taylor County near Pleasant Hill, the son of Lafe and Sally Miskell. He united in marriage to Miss Mayme Rogers December 23, 1913, who survives him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Billie Joe Miskell of Ames, Iowa; five daughters, Mrs. Ernie Scheeler of Yearling, Iowa; Mrs. Fred Hogg, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Robert Voogd, Mrs. William Sperow and Miss Irene Miskell, all of Nevada; one sister, Mrs. George R. Newcomb of Campbellsville and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2 from the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada, Iowa with Rev. Nye of Jewel, Iowa officiating. Burial by Masonic order in the Nevada Cemetery.
