Son of Johann (John) and Mary Ruth (Ehrhart) Fritz.

Spouse of Maria Hoffman, married about 1834. They had 14 children between 1835 and 1858 (Harriet, Amanda, Thomas, Michael, Charles, Angeline, John, William, Catherine, Maria, George, Tamar, Silas and Henry). As of Apr 2016, Maria and Henry remain missing. Located son Henry in Camden, NJ, in Jul 1913, per his sister Amanda's obituary. Daughter Maria was not listed in the Jul 1913 obituary of Amanda.
