Claxton - Henry C. "Babe" Todd, 81, died Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at The Carl Vinson VA Hospital in Dublin after a short illness. The Evans County native was a member of Hagan Baptist Church, a Veteran of World War II, a former Hagan Police officer and retired School Bus Driver. Survivors: two sons and daughter-in-laws, Jimmy and Peggy Todd of Hagan; Benny and Joyce Todd of Hagan; two daughters and son-in-law and friend, Judy Johns and friend James Brown of Twin City, Sybil and James Elton Lanier of Nevils; three sisters, Dolly Todd of Glennville, GA, Pete Holland of Sevierville, TN, and Doris Sapp of Hagan; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: will be held Thursday, August 15, 6:00 p. m. until at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home in Claxton. Funeral Service: 3:00 p. m. Friday, August 16, at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hagan & Elder Jimmy Haire officiating Burial: to follow in Brewton Cemetery in Hagan. J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home
