Joyce L. Litterer
DANVILLE - Joyce L. Litterer, 81, of 4 Maple Lane, died at the Gradndview Health Care Center on Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008.
She was born April 14, 1927, in Danville. Joyce was one of eight sibliing and the last surviving child of Boyd and Mary Trutt Mottern. She was married for 63 years to George Litterer, who survives.
She was employed by the Geisinger Hospital in the dietary department for a number of years.
She enjoyed her home and traveling with her husband. Her sense of humor and unconditional love endeared her to all. Joyce was lifelong Christian whose spirituality never waned.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Debra Litterer of Danville, George and Vita Litterer of Philadelphia, four grandchildren, and beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were four sisters, Mary Hostelley, Martha Neitz, Dolores Ellis, and Betty Mook, and three brothers, Elwood, Rodney and Wallace Mottern.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Brady Funeral Home Inc., 320 Church St., Danville, with her pastor, Pastor Shawn McNett, officiating. There will be no viewing.
Burial will follow in Columbia Hill Cemetery.
