The funeral for Mr. Joe Albert Aaron will be Wed, May 26, 2004, at 11:30 a.m. at Elkins Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Greg Woodall officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in Curry Cemetery in Walker County, with Brother Ronnie Cason officiating. Visitation was Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Aaron, age 64, of Florence, passed away at his home Monday. He had been a barber, specializing in flat tops. He later worked for Arrow Transport as a deckhand on boats on the Mississippi River.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bart and Elda Aaron; five brothers; and his son, Mike Aaron, who passed away in October 2002.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Aaron, Florence; daughters, Sandy Aaron, Florence, and Janie Grammar and husband, Morris, Hartselle, Ala.; grandchildren, Brittnay, Courtney and Lesley Grammar; brother, Carl Aaron, Phil Campbell; a number of nieces and nephews.Pallbearers will be Doug Aaron, Tim Aaron, Morris Grammar, Doyal Bevis, Charles Bevis and Jimmy Watkins.
