James William Bill Crabtree Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. James William Bill Crabtree, Sr. 95, of Livingston, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2000, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Overton County Memorial Gardens with Speck Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Crabtree, the owner of Livingston Recappers, died Monday, August 14, 2000, at the Overton County Nursing Home.

Born July 6, 1905, in Overton County, he was the son of the late William Marion and Addie Winningham Crabtree. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dillie Cargile Crabtree, and an infant son, Harold D. Crabtree.

He was a member of the Allons Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Bill Jr. and Thelma Crabtree, Ronald and Carol Crabtree, Jack and Reba Crabtree, and Max and Nina Crabtree, all of Livingston; eight grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Stan Crabtree, Mark Crabtree, Roger Crabtree, Michael Crabtree, Brian Crabtree, and Earl McNeely.
