Mrs Phalbia Boyd, age 75, died Saturday night at the Kettering Memorial Hospital in Dayton, O., of a heart condiction after being in ill health since March.
Mrs Boyd was born in Clarinda, the daughter of Mrs Carrie Roberts. She lived in Clarinda for many years before moving to Sioux City, where she lived for 35 years. While at Sioux City she was employed as a policewoman, was active in her church and with club activities. Nine years ago she moved to Dayton.
Mrs Boyd is survived by her husband, J.N. Boyd and a daughter, Mrs Gertrude Pemberton-Grubbs of Dayton; a son, Lounneer Pemberton of Kansas City, Mo. Two granddaughters are Caroly and Gayle and one niece, Mrs Bertha Mae Harris, of St Paul, Minn.
