Abe was the son of Abraham Davis Jr and Alice Davis. He was a Graduate of Warner Robins High School in Warner Robins, Georgia. He attended Georgia Southern College and served in the U. S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Sandbed Baptist Church in Kathleen, Georgia.
