Betty Louise Pruitt Robbins, 72, of Gurdon, AR., passed away at her home Friday, June 17, 2011, after a long battle with liver disease.

Betty was born Dec. 16, 1939, in Bay, AR., to Oscar and Clara Pruitt.

She loved quilting, sewing, reading and spending time with her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gurdon and a former member of Hammonds Chapel of Gurdon. She was also an active member of Whelen Springs Extension Homemakers club. She loved her church family and her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Roger, Bo "Carl" and Gene Pruitt; and two infant siblings.

Mrs. Robbins is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bob Robbins; three daughters, Donna Key and her husband Larry of Sparkman, Vickye Backus and her husband Charles of Prescott and Judy LeMay and her husband Timmy of Gurdon; six grandchildren, Bobby (Melissa) McClure of Princeton, Texas, Keith Bowden of Arkadelphia, Nick (Trisha) Hughes of Gurdon, Robyn (Josh) Walker of Hot Springs, Christina Backus of Panama City, Fla., and Sadie Backus of Prescott; four great-grandchildren, Kristen and Josh McClure of Princeton and Kinnedy and Ganyn Hughes of Gurdon; three sisters, Fannie Driggers of Trumann, Shirley Wright of Bay and Marie Ritter of Bunker, Mo.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services were held at the First Baptist Church of Gurdon. Interment of her ashes was in Easley Cemetery. Services was entrusted to Pharr Funeral Home of Gurdon.
