On Feb. 9, 1962, she was united in marriage to Gary James Swoboda.
Mrs. Swoboda was a member of First Baptist Church of Bland.
She worked as a heeler in a shoe factory.
Mrs. Swoboda was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Henry, Ralph, Thomas and Robert Sohn; and three sisters, Helen Sohn, Geraldine Coxie and Florence Gauer.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Swoboda, Bland; two sons, Jim Smith, Union, and James Swoboda and wife Michelle, Bland; three daughters, Patricia Stockton and husband John, Bland, Christiane Bay and husband Gene, St. Clair, and Tiffany Swoboda, Bland; three sisters, Cordella Banderman, St. Clair, Maudie Downey and husband Leroy, St. Clair, and Mary Lou Declue and husband David, St. Clair; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces; nephews; great- and great-great-nieces and -nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Oct. 31, at First Baptist Church in Bland with the Rev. Robert Dodson officiating.
Burial was in Bland Union Cemetery.
