Harvey Sherwood Howard, 63, of Georgetown, died Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, at his residence.
Funeral services will be Friday, Aug. 26, 2005, at 2 p.m. at First Assembly of God. Dr. Bradley Morris and the Rev. Ed Duncan will officiate. Burial, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Howard was born Feb. 19, 1942, in Georgetown County, a son of Retha H. Howard and the late Harvey Liston Howard. He was an accountant with International Paper and Georgetown Steel Corp. He was a member of United Christian Outreach, where he was a deacon, church treasurer and Sunday school superintendent. Mr. Howard also was president of the Men's Fellowship and Commander of the boy's Royal Rangers.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara C. Howard of Georgetown; his mother of Georgetown; two sons, Andy Howard of Georgetown and Greg Howard of Nashville, Tenn.; a daughter, Monica Causey of Marietta, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Kathy Pope and Tracy Norris, both of Georgetown; two brothers, David Howard of Georgetown and Bruce Howard of Cookeville, Tenn.; three sisters, Miriam H. Waggoner of Vidor, Texas, Kathy H. Carter of Georgetown and Marilyn H. Morris of Andrews; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
