Maj. Gen. David M. W. Grant, age 73, passed away Saturday, August 15 at Methodist Hospital, Winter Park, Fla. Graveside services at the National Cemetery, Ft. Sam Houston 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 19 with full military honors. In the early 30's, Gen. Grant was resident surgeon of the Ft. Sam Houston Hospital; during World War II, he served under Gen. H. H. Arnold as the Air Surgeon and later served years as director of the National Red Cross Blood program. Survivors include wife, Mrs. Dorothy Grant of Winter Park, Fla; son, David Jr. of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Percy Grant of St. Petersburg, Fla; and 3 grandchildren.
