Jesse E. Confer, 76, a former resident of Huntingdon, residing at Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg since Ocober 23, 1964, died early this morning, Wednesday, March 20, 1968, at 1:20 o'clock in the Harrisburg hospital. She had been in failing health for several months and was a patient of the hospital since January 15, 1968. Born November 16, 1891, at Williamsburg, she was a daughter of Lloyd G. and Nannie (Wood) Confer. Surviving is one sister, Mrs. C.M. (Ida Mae) Kyle, Takoma Park, Md. She waas preceded in death by two brothers. Miss Confer was a member of the Fifteenth Street Methodist Church. She belonged to the WSCS of the church and had taught Sunday School class there for a number of years. She was a member and Past Matron of Huntingdon Chapter No. 150, Order of Eastern Star. She had been employed at the First Grange National Bank, Huntingdon for a number of years, retiring on January 1, 1960. She was a graduate of Huntingdon High School. Interment will be made in Riverview Mausoleum.
