Emma Becker
Miss Emma BECKER, 88, Fulton, died at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Woodlawn hospital where she was admitted last May 1. She had been ill six years.
A lifetime resident of Fulton, she was born, Oct. 15, 1880, in Liberty township, the daughter of Charles Sr. and Mary MEYERS BECKER. A retired schoolteacher, she had taught 53 years in Fulton and Liberty township schools. She was a member of the National Retired Teachers association, 50-year member of the Eastern Star, and the Fulton Baptist Temple.
Surviving are one brother, Ernest BECKER, Fulton, and nieces and nephews. Two sisters and six brothers preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Fulton Baptist Temple. The Rev. Edward HINDSON will officiate. Burial will be in the Fulton cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ditmire-Zimmerman funeral home in Fulton.
