Inis M. Adams, 81, of Chapmanville, died Saturday in Logan General Hospital. She was born July 7, 1917, at Logan, a daughter of the late Isom and Nina Kay Medley Doss. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Adams in March 1960, and two sons, Linville and Milton Dale Adams. Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and member of the Mt. Era United Baptist Church at Harts.
Survivors include two daughters, Eva G. Bryant of Sunbeam, and Luverna Peery of Santa Barbara, CA; three sons, Leslie, Samuel and Paul Adams, all of Harts; five sisters, Hazel Baker of Harts, Lucille Spence of Verdunville, Edith Marcum of Kermit, Edna Hall of New Mexico, and Dena Doss of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers, Ed Doss of Sacramento, CA, and Jim Doss of Arizona; 29 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 12 noon Tuesday at the White Oak Church of Christ at White Oak in Harts with Rev. Manasses Hensley Jr., Rev. Millard Hall and Rev. Barney Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Adams Cemetery at White Oak. Friends may call from 6-9 pm Monday at Evans Funeral Home in Chapmanville and after 10 am Tuesday at the church. Evans Funeral Home at Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
