Arlene M. Altricher
Arlene M. Altricher, 102, formerly of 104 5th St., Slatington, since 1938, and a resident of Cedarbrook for the last three years, died of natural causes Saturday, May 28, 2011 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the widow of Otto J. Altricher.
Born in Berlinsville, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Winifred (Minnich) Mummey. Arlene was a graduate of the former Berlinsville High School, Class of 1927, and the Allentown Business School class of 1929. She was a volunteer at the Slatington Library. Arlene enjoyed crossword puzzles, and playing the piano. She was very devoted to her family and loved family functions. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Slatington.
Survivors: Sons, Bruce Altricher and wife Darlene of Lehigh Furnace, Richard Altricher and wife Pat of New Providence, PA, David Altricher and wife Janice of Slatington; daughter, Alice wife of Bill Harper of Slatington; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a brother Oliver Mummey. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 Harding Funeral Home 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Calling Hours, 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery Slatington, PA.
