Harold D. Edie Fort Gratiot Mr. Harold D. Edie, 79, of Fort Gratiot, died Sunday, November 21, 2010. He was born June 21, 1931 in Port Huron to the late Byron and Wilma Edie. He married Johanna M. Kilian on March 18, 1955 in Germany. Mr. Edie served in the U.S. Army in both Korea and Vietnam from 1948-1969 and then was a civil service supervisor until his retirement. During his decorated military career he received numerous medals, Bronze Stars and a Presidential Unit Citation. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife, Johanna; a son, Harold H. (Pam) Edie of Junction City, Kansas; grandson, Harold B. Edie; sister, Beverly Koppel of Fort Gratiot; two brothers, Ronald (Claudette) Edie of Fort Gratiot and Robert Edie of Port Huron Township; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2010 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
