Her celebration of life service will be held at 6 p.m. today (Friday) at Lamb Funeral Home, 303 N. Church St., Gibson City. The Rev. Kevin Boessen will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. A private burial will be held in Drummer Township Cemetery.
Ms. Cochran was born on June 22, 1946, in Bloomington, a daughter of Gordon W. and Zelma L. (Holler) Bane Sr.
Surviving are her children, Sean (Lesli) Cochran of Bloomington and India (Steve) Baughman of Lake Bluff; three grandchildren, Caden Cochran, Chloe Baughman and William Baughman; one brother, Gordon (Janice) Bane of Downs; and five sisters, Barbara Fredericks of Birmingham, Ala., Dixie Thomas of Foosland, Patsy Askew of Wausau, Wis., Carolyn Larson of Frankfort and Janet Barnes of Foosland.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Erin Kathleen; a sister, Shirley Ann Benison; and her parents.
We would like to thank her beloved sisters Janet, Dixie, Carolyn, Patsy, her brother Gordon and her cousin Phylis for their care during her illness and a special thank you to her caregivers Janet and Dixie for whom we are eternally grateful and the entire staff at the Community Cancer Center in Bloomington, the doctors and staff at BroMenn Hospital and the Gibson Area Hospital.
