He served in World War I in heavy artillery.

Survived by his wife; two sons - Wayland Corgill of Fort Worth and W.D. Corgill of Perryton; three daughters - Mrs. Louis Bernhardt and Mrs. B.W. Rogers, both of Olney; Mrs. Craig LIvely of Denison; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters - Miss Rhoda Corgill and Mrs. Ora Prosser, both of Bakersfileld, CA and Mrs. Letha Wheeler of Childress; one brother - Henry Corgill of Childress.
