Mrs. Caroline Vermette, 68, wife of James Vermette, died Saturday at her home, 16 Boothby Avenue after a long illness.
A native of St. Romouald, Quebec, the daughter of Francis and Euphemie Gagnon Binette, she had resided here 52 years.
Mrs. Vermette was a communicant of the St. Ignatius Church and a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Solidarity. She was also a member of Repentigny Council, St. John the Baptist Society.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Emile, Wilfred and Lionel all of Sanford; three daughters, Mrs. Alice Provencher, Mrs. Beatrice Cormier and Mrs. Anita Liberty, Sanford; a step-daughter, Mrs. Laura Langlois, Sanford; 23 grandchildren; a g-grandchild; and a brother, Henry Binette of Sanford.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the St. Ignatius Church. Interment took place at St. Ignatius Cemetery.
