George Garman, son of George and Helen Reich Garman, grew up in IA. His father died when he was 14 years old.

Corporal Garman was a member of the 34th Inf. Reg, 24th Inf Div. He was killed in action in Kochang, South Korea on July 30, 1950. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

He left a mother, and two sisters. George was only 20 years of age.
