Cortland Annis, 64 years old and an insurance agent in Rochester, committed suicide yesterday by hanging himself at the home of his daughter at Ogden Center.

Suicide of Cortland Annis.
Cortland Annis, an insurance agent who had an office in the Osburn house block and lived about a mile south of Spencerport, committed suicide between the hours of 11 and 2 o'clock yesterday at his home, by hanging himself. He lived with his daughter and she was in church when he killed himself. Miss Annis discovered the body of her father when she returned from church. Mr. Annis had been in poor health for some time and was despondent at intervals. He was 62 years old, only his daughter survives him. Mr. Annis formerly resided in this city. Coroner Kleindlanat (sic) was notified of the case and after ascertaining the facts decided that an inquest was unnecessary and granted a certificate.
