MELVIN [Ford Co.], IL—Betty Ann Alford Johnson, 55, of 201 W. Main Street, Melvin, died at 7:30 a.m., Friday, June 16, 2000, at her residence.

Her funeral was held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, at the Melvin First United Methodist Church. Burial was at Melvin Cemetery.

She was born March 13, 1945, at McHenry [Ohio Co.], Kentucky, a daughter of Charlie and Aldie Martin Alford. She married John E. Johnson in 1965 at Fairbury.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin E. Johnson, Gibson City; Jeff G. (Charity) Johnson, Strawn; and Chad A. (Aimee) Johnson, Melvin; two stepsons, Josh E. Turner and Jeremy Turner; two sisters, Lois Threedouble, Louisville, Kentucky; and Bessie Henningfeld, Witt; five grandchildren, Tristan Johnson, Logan Johnson, Baillee Johnson, Emily Rose Milligan, and Joshua Morgan; and her special friend, Charles Turner, with whom she made her home.

Her parents preceded her in death.
