Joyce Ann Watson, 61, of Mexia passed away September 23, 2008. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 26, 2008 at Northside Baptist Church. Rev. Jeff Wright will officiate with interment to follow in the Mexia Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Mrs. Watson was born February 27, 1947 in Phillipstown, Illinois to Quentin Buel and Florence Eunice (Scott) Marsh. She had lived in Mexia most of her life. Family, church and work were all very important to her. She was the loving mother of three and grandmother of five. Mrs. Watson was a dedicated nurse at the Mexia State School for many years. She was an active member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Raymond Watson, III and wife, Stephanie of Mexia, daughters, Beth West and husband David of Fairfield and Elaine Watson of Mexia; grandchildren, Christian West, David West, Jr., D'artagnan West, Caitlyn Watson and Adam Watson; a brother, Robert Marsh of Lake Livingston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Marsh.
Pallbearers will be Robert Marsh, Raymond Watson, III, David West, Jason Donaho, Lee West and Sonny Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Watson, Louis York, Clarence (Buzz) York, Mike Harris, Paul Feix and Bill Wright, Sr.
