"The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 21, No 16, p 63, Apr. 20, 1865.

At his residence in Hopkinton, Feb. 21st, 1865, Capt. Robert Langworthy, aged 79 years, 11 months, and 7 days. The subject of this notice made a profession of religion in early life, and united with the 1st Seventh-day Baptist Church in Hopkinton, and remained an exemplary and devoted member until death. During his last sickness, his mind was unusually clear, and his faith seemed to strengthen, and he often expressed a desire to depart. Though he loved his family with the purest of earthly affections, yet he loved his Saviour more, and requested that his family might willingly give him up into the arms of his blessed Jesus.
In the death of Bro. Langworthy, his aged widow is called to mourn the loss of a kind and indulgent husband, with whom she has traveled the rugged pathway of life for half a century; his children an affectionate parent, and the church one of its oldest and praying members.
