Dagmar Eugenia Tomingas, 2120 Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro, was united in marriage to Stephen Foy Cooke of 910 San Pasqual avenue, Pasadena, at 7:30 o'clock Sunday evening, June 14, in the Bethany Lutheran church in Los Angeles. Rev. John Schmitt officiated.
Mrs. Cooke is well known in social and musical circles of San Pedro and for the past seven years and until June 1 was one of the escrow staff of the Bank of America and was manager of the department at the Wilshire and La Brea branch at the time of her resignation to be married. She is the daughter of Mrs. Erica Tomingas of 2120 Paseo Del Mar, and came to this country from Russia. She was educated in Europe and America graduating from the Pasadena high school.
Mr. Cooke is known in political and business circles in Los Angeles county having been active in the Harbor district as manager of the Bonelli campaign and identified with the campaigns of many county and state candidates. He is a native of Oregon and a graduate pharmacist. He was owner of the Cooke Drug Co. in San Pedro, manager of the Ever Ready Drug Co. in Beverly Hills and other similar concerns. He is at present manager of the Winegart Drug Co. of Pasadena, Store No. 2. He is a son of the late William J. Cooke, Internationally known organizer and one time a representative as minister of the Republic of Nicaragua in canal matters.
