1900, 1910 & 1920 Censuses: He lived in Carroll, Reynolds, MO. Homer lived with his parents, George & Effie Hodges in 1920; he was working in a stave mill and was a teamster. Children were born in Greeley, MO; Fenton, MO; Otto, MO; Goodland, MO, and St. Louis, MO.

By 1930, he was living in Kaolin township, Iron, MO. In 1935-40, he lived in Goodland, Iron, MO. In the 1950's, he ran a coffee shop with his wife, Daisy in St. Louis, MO. In the 1950's, they built a house in Belleview, Iron, MO. His daughter-in-law's father furnished the lumber for the house to be built. This was his last residence.

Homer died in St. Louis, MO at Incarnate Word Hospital. He had tuberculosis and leukemia.
