Norma was born August 22, 1922, to Adolph and Hilda (Andresen) Ketelsen in Clinton County, Iowa. Norma graduated from Charlotte High School in 1939. She later graduated from Mount Saint Clare College, Clinton, Iowa, in 1941. Norma taught school in Charlotte, Iowa, for three years prior to her marriage to Raymond H. Moeller on May 28, 1944, in Charlotte. She later worked at REC, Wilton, in the billing department for 15 years. She and Ray farmed in Muscatine County. Ray preceded her in death on February 25, 1992.
Norma was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton, where she was active in Bible study. She was a member of the LWML and instrumental in forming the Friendship Club and Eventide. Her life centered around her Church and her family. Norma enjoyed cooking, especially her apple pie and apple dumplings.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, Wilton. Interment will take place at the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Julie and her husband Allan Duffe of Wilton; her sons, Dale and his wife Sherri Moeller of Cochran, Ga., Gary and his wife Kay Moeller of Wilton, and Dean and his wife Sheryl Moeller of Omaha, Neb.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her granddaughter, Tiffany Moeller, her grandson, Shawn Moeller, and her brother, Eugene Ketelsen.
Memorial donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in her memory.
