Joe Davidson Dies Tuesday

J. C. (Joe) Davidson, 73, Richland, retired Missouri Pacific Railroad bridge carpenter, died in Memorial Hospital Tuesday night.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:30 p. m. from the First Baptist church in Richland with burial in the Richland Cemetery.

The rites will be conducted by Rev. Marion Ford and Rev. C. Eidson Donnell.

Surviving are his wife, Opal, of Richland; two sons, J. C. Davidson, Jr., Pendleton, Ore.; and Alden Davidson, Seattle, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Melvin Johnson, Kinder, La.; Mrs. Paul Haynes, Nashville, Tenn.; and Mrs. Garland Montfort, Mildred; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Corley Funeral Chapel directed.

Joseph first married Dona Azaline Washer on December 23, 1903 in Mount Vernon, Illinois. They had four children:
1. William Monore
2. Hazel Azaline
3. Ward Earl
4. Bertha Asenith

Joseph second married Mabel Pearl Sargent on January 21, 1920. They had five children:
1. Furnn Alma
2. Joseph Claud, Jr.
3. Pauline Elsie "Polly"
4. Cyrus Alden
5. Robert Franklin

Joseph third married Opal Lee Madewell on December 16, 1948 in Corsicana, Texas.

Joseph Claud Davidson is buried in the Richland Cemetery. He has no marker. He is buried to the right side of Opal Lee Davidson. She has a marker. If standing at head of Opals grave and facing it, Joseph would be to the right. As I said, no marker.
