Earl Davis moved to Texas in 1908. He grew up in the Loving and Jermyn area. He lived in Archer and Young Counties most of his life. Mr. Davis retired from the oilfield and was a member of Megargel Baptist Church. As a musician, he played fiddle and was vice president of the Olney Jamboree. Survived by his wife; two sons; one stepson; two sisters; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild.
