Marva Rae Stanger, age 72, died on Saturday June 21, 2008, in Sandy, UT.

She was born November 24, 1935 in Manti, UT., to Lamar and Venita Madsen.

She married Glenn M. Stanger, March 26, 1965 in Salt Lake City, UT. Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and daughter passed away after a full and joy filled life. Marva was a devoted mother and grandmother. The greatest joy in her life was her family. By her example she taught us the meaning of unconditional love. All of us whose lives she touched were truly blessed.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon (Demar Anderson) Morrigan, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Connie Jo (Olav) Froelke, Ogden, UT, Lisa Stanger and son Brent Stanger, both of Sandy, UT; grandchildren, Nicholas (Lisa Arthur), Almy, Amanda (Cory) Barrett, Eric Anderson, Ethan (Miranda) Anderson, and Bobbi Speer, great-grandchildren, Christian Almy and Connor & Evangeline Barrett.
Marva was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Barbara Hamblin and brother, Lewis Madsen, and former husband Glenn M. Stanger.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Lake Hills Memorial, 10055 South State Street, Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held from 6-8 on Thursday and also one hour prior to services at the Mortuary. Interment to follow and Lake Hills Cemetery.

I knew Marva Rae as we grew up in Draper together. I knew her entire family. She was a character back then.'
