HENRY O. PARNELL
GLADEWATER —- Services for Henry Osley Parnell, 32, of Rt, 2, will be held at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Malcolm Stone Funeral Home. The Rev. Herman Reagh will conduct the rites, and burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

Mr. Parnell, who was a native of Gladewater, died about noon Sunday in a car-train accident at the Money Street crossing in Gladewater. He was an oil field worker and had served in the Army.

Survivors include two sons. Timmy Parnell and Anthony Parnell, both of Los Angeles, Calif.; two brothers, E. L. Parnell of Mount Pleasant and E. H Parnell of Diana; one sister Mrs. Ruth Armstrong of Gladewater; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs, Edna Parnell of Gladewater.

Henry was living with his grandparents, Johnnie Alexander and Edna Lee (Ritchey) Parnell in the 1940 census. His death certificate states that Katie Lea Parnell (their daughter) is Henry's mother. His biological father is unknown. His grandfather's obituary lists Henry as a son, so it is believed he was raised by his grandparents.
