Jesse Emmett Stiers, age 77, of Calwood, Missouri died Sunday, October 24, 2004.

Jesse was born April 15, 1927.

On June 18, 1948 he married Effie May (Weehunt). She preceded him in death in November 1998.

Preceded in death by one son, Robert; one daughter, Mary; one grandson, Michael and five brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Emmett Stiers of Williamsburg, Missouri and William Stiers of Kansas; six grandchildren, Mattie, James, and David Stiers of Williamsburg, Missouri; John, Sheila and Timmy Stiers of Kansas; one great granddaughter, Brittany Stiers of Williamsburg, Missouri; two sisters, Esther Levings of Williamsburg, Missouri and Martha Schmidt of Fulton, Missouri.

Mr. Stiers served his country in the United States Navy. He worked for the State Hospital Dairy Farm and the Maintenance Department for forty-two years. He was a member of the Gold Leaf Club at the Callaway Bank, and enjoyed his mornings at the Calwood Store and loved to garden.
