Services for Henry C. Bernard, 72, of 933 Fourth St., La Salle, who died Monday, will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Hurst Funeral Home, La Salle, and at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church. Rev. Dale L. Wellman will officiate. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. today with a rosary at 8 p.m.

Mr. Bernard was born in La Salle on Jan. 30, 1914, to Emil and Theresa Kilter Bernard. He married Joan Prince who died Dec. 4, 1984. He worked at M and H Zinc for 47 years until his retirement and was a member of St. Patrick's Church.

Survivors include three sons, Henry of Des Moines, Iowa, John !of Rochelle and Joseph of La Salle; six grandchildren; and five sisters, Mrs. William (Prudence) Brady, Mrs. Elizabeth Prentice, Mrs. John (Theresa) Henrotin, Mrs. Louis (Eva) Sekula and Mrs. Edward (Catherine) Kierski, all of La Salle.
