J. C. "Buck" Adams, 75, of Little River, TX died Sunday in a Cameron, TX hospital.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 14, 1984 at Sheffield Funeral with the Revs. Louis Holder and W. R. Raimey officiating.
Burial will be in the Wilson Valley Cemetery, Little River, TX.
Mr. Adams was born Dec. 27, 1908, in the Wilson Valley Community, the son of John Williams and Hattie Hammock Adams, early Wilson Valley settlers.
He married the former Eunice Inez Garner on Jan. 5, 1929 in Bell Co., TX and they made their home in the Little River community.
Mr. Adams worked as a truck driver for Phillips 66 Oil Co., for 40 years before his retirement. He then worked as a carpenter.
He attended the New Providence Primitive Baptist Church of Cameron, TX.
Survivors include his widow, Eunice Adams; one son, James Cleveland Adams of Little River; one daughter, Mrs. Maxine Green of Temple; two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Burns of Rockdale and Mrs. Mary Sue Mitchell of Belton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
