William Bell Adkins, 82, Palmyra, died Monday, September 7,2009, at Gateway Medical Center. The funeral will be held at 2pm Thursday at Nave Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Jacqueline Martin officiating. Burial will be in Lewis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5pm till 8pm Wednesday and from 8am till service Thursday at the funeral home.
Nave Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. He was born Feb. 23,1927 in Houston County,Tn.son of the late Van and Dora Jamison Adkins.He retired after 39 years from the Department of Transportation Survivors include his wife of 58 years Keith Lyle Adkins of Palmyra,Tn.one son William Dennis Adkins,one daughter Mary Saundra Rougemont both of Clarksville,Tn.one sister Mary Alsobrooks of New Mexico and two grandchildren Pallbearers include Tom Payne, Leonard Sykes, Buck Wyatt, Dickey Suiter, Perry Harris and Lucian Wyatt Honorary Pallbearers will be, Billy Wisdom, Jacob Rougemont, Bill Lyle, Billy Cook, David Stoever and Calvin Testement
