Alberta M. (Lamkin) Mollan-Sabatini, 87, of Peru, passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Mueller Funeral Home in Peru. Burial will be in St. Vincent's Cemetery in LaSalle. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sabatini was born on August 15, 1923 in St. Mary Kentucky to Dell and Susan (Browning) Lamkin. She married Arthur Mollan on March 9, 1945 in St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria. He died September 5, 1974. She then married Frank Sabatini on March 3, 1980 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle. She worked at Wesclox in Peru for many years. She was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in LaSalle and the Cedar Point Sportsman Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Mollan of Peru and Rosemary Mollan-(Ralph) Brekan of Tempe, AZ; one son, Ken (Linda) Mollan of Peru; 8 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two step children, Mary Jane (Tom) Tonozzi of Spring Valley and Michael (Carrie) Sabatini of Peru; 7 stepchildren and 1 step great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Arthur her second husband Frank; one daughter, Kathryn Mollan Casey; and three brothers.
