She was born on June 8, 1931, in Luray and was a daughter of the late Marvin Lee and Alice Burner Rothgeb.
Mrs. Rothgeb had worked for Luray Textile and was a lifetime member of the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Roger Allen Dovel of Stanley; a daughter, Cheryl A. Campbell of Stanley; a sister, Dorothy Isabell "Dot" Price of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mable Sue Burruss; a brother, Earl Marvin "Bucky" Rothgeb; and two grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, at the Bradley Funeral Home by the Rev. Alfred C. Comer Jr. and the Rev. Jack Campbell.
Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
The family was to receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, at the funeral home.
