Bogard died Tuesday, Oct 12, 1993, at Lubbock Methodist Hospital. He was born June 22, 1920, in McAlister, Okla. He moved to Clovis in 1964 from Tucumcari. He married Catherine Hulse June 19, 1971 in Fort Sumner. He had been a car salesman with Rierson Motors and also with Watson Motors. He was a member of the 16th and Pile Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine Bogard; his children Kathryn and Stan Hobson, Boise Idaho; Vern and Sharon Bogard, Phoenix; Tom and Judy Bogard, Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Susan and Scott Kempf, Clovis; his stepchildren, Sandra and Maurice Hodges, Midland, Texas; Tommy and Becky Bevell, Temeculia, Calif.; and Faith Ann and Bill Wall, Albuquerque; his brothers, Bob Bogard, Farmington; and Fred Bogard, Clovis, 10 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and several stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Clarice Bogard; his sister, Tennie Mae Patterson; and his brother Stanley Bogard.
Casket bearers will be Melvin Goar, Bud Shipley, Tommy Watson, Bob Filpot, Jack Lancaster, Loyd Franklin and Wesley Patterson.
Honorary bearers will be all friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
