Catharine A. Geissler, 87, formerly of Wyomissing Hills, died June 6, 2012 in Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center, Reading.
Her husband, Francis G. Geissler, died July 7, 1999.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late William A. and Rosie (Umbenhauer) Ripple.
She was a graduate of Reading High School in 1942.
Catharine was first employed by Berkshire Knitting Mills and later by R.M. Palmer Co.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, Reading.
Catharine was a member of the Wyomissing Hills Recreation Board; she also served as a Den Mother for Wyomissing Hills Cub Scout Pack 437.
She is survived by four children.
There are two brothers.
Six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren
She was predeceased by six siblings: Elizabeth Werner, William, Robert, George and Virginia Ripple and Karlene Miller.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
