Johnie "J.C." Brothers, 88, of Arab died Sunday September 20, 2009, in Huntsville Hospital. He had suffered from two major strokes within the past three years.

He was a retired electrical technician for NASA. He worked on many of the Apollo rockets in the '60s and '70s.
Veteran of World War II, he served in Okinawa as an Army sergeant. He lived in Arab since 1956.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his children, Mildred Reed Brothers, they were married 27 years. He also was preceded in death by his second wife, Ann Thompson Brothers, they were also married 27 years; and by his son, Keith Edward Brothers and 3 grandchildren, Kristie Brothers, Brian Nolen and Deidra Brothers.

He is survived by
2 children
3 grandchildren
4 great grandchildren
1 brother

Visitation for Mr. Brothers will be from 6 to 9 pm today at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Elder Coy Brothers and Elder Matt Jordan officiating. Burial will be in New Clear Creek Cemetery, Douglas.

Johnie "J.C." Brothers, 88, of Arab died Sunday September 20, 2009, in Huntsville Hospital. He had suffered from two major strokes within the past three years.
