She attended Alexandria High School and graduated from Indiana Business College. She had worked at Aladdin Industries, formerly of Alexandria. She retired from Pierce Governor in 1976 after 32 years of employment. She was a lifelong member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Alexandria, the Altar & Rosary Society and the Daughters of Isabella. Throughout her life, Louise was the primary caregiver for her parents and two of her sisters preceding their deaths.
