Mrs. Martha Ellen Hoffman, 78, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maude McConnell, 438 North Ninth street, Thursday morning at 6:15.

Mrs. Hoffman was born in Versailles, October 29, 1851, the daughter of Isaac and Georgetta Whiteside. She was married on June 18, 1871, to Harvey H. Hoffman of Kellerville, who was a merchant there for many years. Mr. Hoffman died October 10, 1893.

Mrs. Hoffman was a member of the Madison Park Christian church. Funeral services will be held Saturday in Kellerville, with burial beside her husband in the Dunkard cemetery.
