Nora Etta Davis Ballew was the daughter of Daniel Boone (Dan) and Mary Jane Riggs Davis; and the wife of James Thomas Ballew. She had no known children.
Nora was born on the family farm on Rocky Creek and grew up there. After her graduation from high school, she attended beauty college and made this her life's career.
On November 27, 1949, she married J. T. Ballew in San Angelo, Texas, He was a native of that city and they spent time here before moving on to Tucson, Arizona, where she had her own beauty shop. She kept her business until retirement, but she and her husband remained in Tucson the rest of their lives. Nora died in Tucson on September 13, 1981, and was cremated. Her ashes were shipped home and placed at the grave of her parents. She has no marker of her own.
