NEW HARBOR - Nathalie F. Wiswell, 76, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2005, at Glenridge in Augusta. Nathalie was born May 25, 1928, in Rockport, a daughter of Forrest and Rebecca Armstrong Fowle. She lived in many towns in Maine including Rockport, Winthrop, Hallowell, Boothbay Harbor and Greenville where she graduated from high school, Class of 1946. She continued her education at the Farmington State Teacher's College and graduated there in 1950. She taught in Bath, Melrose, Mass., Augusta, Madison, and Monmouth for 20 years. In 1962, she married Everett and through his ministry they lived in Wayne, North Anson, Winthrop, York, Ogunquit, Caribou and Waldoboro; retiring in Waldoboro in 1988. She belonged to the United Methodist Women, Choir, B.P.W. Bath-Brunswick Choral Society, counseled summers at the United Methodist Camp in Winthrop for 20 years during the summer, known by her nickname "Chicken", Bristol Public Library and CODA Chorus Group in Winthrop. She was a registrar for pre-school children's clinic in Waldoboro for four years, and worked at the Caribou Hospital Gift Shop. She worked as a telephone operator for Boothbay Harbor, Wilton and Greenville.

She was predeceased by her husband, H. Everett Wiswell in 2002; son, Eugene H. Wiswell in 1986; sister, Leneda Murray of Saratoga, Wyo.; brother, Robert M. Fowle.

She is survived by a brother, George T. Fowle of El Paso, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth W. Crane of Augusta, Ada L. Mulvey of Richmond; four grandchildren; several great- grand-children, nieces and nephews.
A committal service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29 at Marston Cemetery in North Orrington. (Bangor Daily News 8/24/2005)
