1st Battalion North Carolina Heavy Art-
illery. On 1/13/64, he transferred to
Company D by Special Order #6, Adjuntant
General Office Raleigh,NC. Promoted to
Corporal, Feb 1, 1864. July/Aug 1864
shown Absent, Summoned to Wilmington as
witness in Court Marshal August 5, 1864 by
Lieut Reid, Judge Advocate.
He was wounded at Kinston on the retreat
from Wilmington and sent to CSA Hospital
#3 Greensboro, NC and admitted on March 9,
1865 and was paroled about May, 1865.
