"Roger Dale Barker, age 63 of Woodstown, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 8, 2011.

Born in Waynesville, NC, he had been a resident of Woodstown for the past 30 years.

Roger served in the USMC during the Vietnam War and earned several awards including the Purple Heart and the Combat Action Ribbon. He had been commissioned to attend Quantico for Officer's Training when he was wounded in battle and honorably discharged.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Haney Barker of Woodstown; his mother, Alverta Greene of Waynesville, NC; his daughter, Holly Hughes (Craig) of Ware Shoal, SC; his sisters, Linda Sawyer(Lewis) of Waynesville, NC, and Mary Ruth Barker of Waynesville, NC; his step-children, Eddy Haney, Jr. (Pam) of Pittsgrove; Jennie Lutes (Paul Jr.) of Woodstown; Denise Jackson (Marcel) of Newark, DE; his step son-in-law, Gregory Dubois (Stephanie) of Buena; his grandchildren, Hannah, Hailey, and Hope Hughes; Eddy III, Jordan, and Michael Haney; Paul III and Jessica Lutes; Tegan and Jaide Jackson; and Tyler, Nathan, and Lincoln Dubois. He was predeceased by his step-daughter, Teresa Dare Haney Dubois.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM today in the H.T. LAYTON FUNERAL HOME, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 9 AM until the time of service. Burial will be held in the Salem County War Veterans Cemetery in Pilesgrove.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dare To Dream Foundation, 329 Harding Hwy., Buena, NJ 08310. The Dare To Dream Foundation is in memory of Teresa Dare Dubois.

Arrangements are under the direction of the H.T. LAYTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE in Woodstown, 856.769.1515."
