Ethel L. Morgan, 80, of Pence Street, died at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Mrs. Morgan enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and visiting with family and friends. She was affiliated with Hope Community Church.
Born in Simpson County, Ky., July 4, 1930, Mrs. Morgan was the daughter of Ray Brown and Elizabeth Emmett Chapman. She married Harold O. Morgan who preceded her in death April 19, 1995.
She is survived by sons, Jimmy (Nancy) Morgan of Columbus, IN, and Harold Glyn (Marsha) Morgan of Hope, IN; daughters, Mary Ann (Louis) Sandoval of Columbus, IN, Barbara Jean Duncan of Columbus, IN, and Amber Morgan of Columbus, IN; brothers, Ricky Dale Chapman, Stanley Chapman and William Terry Chapman, all of Kentucky, and Robert Russell Chapman of Georgia; sisters, Geneva Riddle, Virginia Jones, Mayola Chapman and Mary Abney, all of Kentucky, and LouAnn England of Columbus, IN; grandchildren, Darrin Lee Morgan, Kevin Wayne Morgan, Missy Kay Luttrell, Jason Ray Morgan, Amanda Cea, Josh Morgan, Autumn Duncan, Kayla Duncan and Anthony "June Bug" Duncan; step-grandchildren, Jason Brown and Vince Brown; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Brown; her mother, Elizabeth Emmett Chapman; her husband, Harold O. Morgan; brothers, Edward Lee Brown and five others; and four sisters.
FUNERAL SERVICES:
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Gerald Hancock officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to the service Tuesday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
